Homework 12/11/15
U.S. History II-You have to complete a take home essay for homework over the weekend. I am giving you our test essay as a take-home. Make sure you answer both essays. I do not expect you to write a 5 paragraph essay, just write an essay as if you were writing on the test. You can use any source you would like but you really shouldn't need anymore than the textbook and your notes. Here are the essays questions:
- What forced Franklin D. Roosevelt to wait until the bombing of Pearl Harbor before entering the war?
- Explain the Nazis' "final solution to the Jewish question" and how they justified this policy.

Homework 12/10/15
U.S. History II-Listen to the Planet Money Podcast about ISIS linked below (you can also just search "Planet Money ISIS" in the podcast app on your iPad/iPhone). As you listen you need to take notes on the podcast, your notes do not have to be long, I would say a half a page or so would be adequate. Then you need to write a one paragraph reaction to the podcast. In your paragraph you can discuss what surprised you, what you found interesting, what you think the U.S. should do about it, what you would do if you were living in ISIS territory or any other thought or reaction you have to it.
